Select right size
Various operating systems have different standard icon sizes. Here’s a summary with explanations about when to use each of the icon sizes. Scroll down the page for more detailed information.
This simple template helps you to create pretty icons with equal composition values.
Use the same sizes for all icons
Create all icons of one set of the same size art-boards.
Use outlines properties, such as rounding off edges and corners. Avoid the use of inner and external outlines in Sketch3 for not closed lines, if you set the rounding.
Keep your icon fitted to the pixel grid. Always work in a pixel preview mode. Use Round for Pixel Tool or set points manually.
By using outlines in the centre, apply even-numbered pixel meanings — not 1px, but the 2px outline. If you need to use 1px outline, make it inside.
Each stroke must be converted to fills. Use outlines option for it.
Fills must be combined creating compound paths if it’s necessary (no overlapping shapes). Use Flatten option for it.
Avoid any colors or filled backgrounds in your glyphs. It must be a black simple shape.
Any image in your SVG will be ignored.
